We continue to probe the concept of bank owned brokerage without coming down on an opinion yet.

Your comment &quot;there is no way that conflicts of interest will not be involved...&quot; if banks own brokerage is an intersting one in light of the problems we have had when the mortgage industry was separate. The cause of the current mortgage mess has little or nothing to do with banks owning real estate companies, the reverse is true.

Where we do agree is your last statement about &quot;better business models&quot; and think by improving our skills and our transparency we can avoid many conflicts.

		<description>I agree with most of your assessments, but adamently oppose banks getting into our industry in any shape or form.  There is no way that conflicts of interest will not be involved if they do.  These types of situations is partly what has gotten us in our economic mess.  It should never ever happen. We need to figure out better business models on our own to compete in the 21st century.</description>
