Hi Donald, you responded to my "Demon of Marketing" piece some time back. Did you ever check out another paper of mine located at www.inevitablechange.org? You may find pages 6 & 7 interesting (the inset table) as you consider the impact of the DOJ deal. I wrote this one up in 2007. Some of the initial stages of the forecast in this study are moving a bit quicker that I anticipated; mostly because I did not expect NAR to settle so quickly knowing the impact it will have on the industry. However, I believe the end results time-frame will still be about right.

Thanks, creed

Landflip - do you think NAR can lead the real estate industry in postive new directions that help what you call a "good realtor" continue to succeed or, has NAR failed to exercise the leadership we need? You are right, people cannot be replaced with technology. Technology is the tool to help us create better skills in our relationships with the consumer. Do you think the DOJ is finished with NAR? REALonomics.

The NAR needs to get over it and figure out how to evolve in the technology world. Realtors will never be replaced and if you are a good realtor you will alway be used and get paid. We as Realtors will never get replaced by the computer.
